Types of Frames
These washable permanent electrostatic air filters are available in standard and custom sizes for virtually any configuration of air system and application.
In addition to two types of rigid frames, flexible frames are also available for applications where a rigid frame cannot be used.
The ElectraGold filter comes with a 1″ frame. The ElectraSilver filter is available in depths between 1/2″ and 6″. All ElectraFlex filters are 1/4″ thick and fit most 1″ applications.Arrestance
The arrestance of a filter reflects its ability to remove small airborne particles. All Air-Care filters come in one of two types of arrestance — either 94% or 88%. The 94% arrestance filter provides higher filtering capacity by trapping up to 94% of particles in the air. The 88% arrestance filters provide slightly less filtering capacity,but is less restrictive, allowing greater airflow through the filter. The 88% arrestance filters may be preferred when used in older or weaker air handling systems since air can move more freely through them. The difference in the amount of particles captures between 94% and 88% arrestence is minimal.Anti-Microbial
All 94% filters contain an EPA registered anti-microbial material to inhibit the mold and bacteria growth on the filter surface and are resistant to damage casued by UV bulbs.
UV Resistant
Air-Care filters with 94% arrestance are manufactured to be resistent to ultraviolet radiation. This is an important feature If you have germicial UV bulbs in your heating and cooling system or your equipment is exposed to sunlight since UV rays can destroy filtration materials.

ElectraGold 1″
The ElectraGold filter has a premium quality extruded aluminum, gold anodized frame with a durable and attractive finish. It is constructed with four separate pieces, connected by screws at each side for enhanced sturdiness. There are drainage holes on each side to allow water to easily escape after washing.

All ElectraGold filters are 1″ deep and are available in standard and custom sizes. Custom frame types are offered in sizes between 10″ – 30″ in length and 10″ – 24″ in width.

ElectraSilver 1″
The ElectraSilver filter 1″ has a single piece, roll-formed steel frame with a durable and attractive finish. It has drainage holes on each side to facilitate the removal of water after washing.

ElectraSilver 3″ to 6-5/8″
The ElectraSilver filter has a single piece, roll-formed steel frame with a durable and attractive finish. It has drainage holes on each side to facilitate the removal of water after washing. These deeper filters make excellent replacements for disposable filters for Aprilaire, SpaceGard, Honeywell, Trion, Lennox, Goodman, Bryant/Carrier, Purolater, and other furnace systems.

Thicker ElectraSilver filters are available in depths of 3″ or 6-5/8″ and sizes between 10″ – 30″ in length and 8″ – 24″ in width.

These filters provide 94% arrestance of dust and have anti-microbial and anti-UV layers.

ElectraFlex 1/4″
Flexible frames are available for applications where a rigid frame cannot be used. The ElectraFlex filter has the same construction and specifications as the ElectraSilver and ElectraGold filters except there is no rigid aluminum frame. Rather than a hard frame, the ElectraFlex has a polypropylene webbing that is sewn around the media.

All ElectraFlex filters are 1/4″ deep and are available in standard and custom sizes. Custom filters are offered in sizes between 10″ – 30″ in length and 8″ – 24″ in width.
Arrestance
These filters provide either 88% or 94% arrestance of dust. Anti-microbial and anti-UV layers are found in the 94% option.

ElectraFlex Washable Filters
ElectraFlex filters are made from sewing flexible polypropylene webbing around the edge of the filter so the frame is a flexible fabric rather than metal. Flexible framed electrostatic air filters conform to the same specifications as the rigid metal framed filters. The 88% Flexible Frame filters are about 3/8″ depth. The 94% Flexible Frame filters are about 5/8″ depth. The 94% flexible framed filters have a 1/2″ polyester layer sandwiched between 2 layers of polypropylene with a polypropylene webbing frame sewn around the edge and fit most 1″ applications.
