Airpura 600 Series, 700 Series, and 400 series

One of the first considerations in selecting an air purifier is matching the unit to the size of the area you want to clean. Airpura has a variety of models that will effectively clean almost any space from a bedroom to the whole house.

The difference between the 600, 700, and 400 Series models is the volume of air that is pulled through the air purifier per minute, and thus the amount of space that is effectively cleaned.

Airpura 600 Series models are 22″ high, 15″ wide and effective clean up to 2000 sq ft
Airpura 700 Series models are 22″ high, 15″ wide and effective clean up to 2500 sq ft
Airpura 400 Series models are 15.5″ high, 12″ high and effective clean up to 1000 sq ft

Other Considerations:

Full HEPA units can be upgraded to the SuperHEPA filter.
Most Airpura models are also available in Whole-House configurations.
Units with all-purpose Activated carbon can be upgraded to the Enhanced carbon blends found in the V600, V700, F600, and F700 units to increase the capacity to remove VOCs such as generated by off-gassing paints, lacquers, adhesives, pressed wood, rugs, and furniture. G600 and G700 carbon is available for chemically sensitive people.

Airpura R600, R700, and R400

Effective general purpose air purification for home, office and workshops.

The Airpura R600, R700, and R400 are recommended for all-purpose applications. They have medical grade true HEPA filters to capture particles such as dust, dander, and pollen as well as a large amount of high-quality activated carbon to remove household odors (such as cooking and pets) and some chemicals. This is a good choice for someone with allergies or asthma or who would just like to breathe healthier air at home or in the office.

Enhanced blend carbon adsorbs VOCs and specific chemicals and true HEPA for particles

The Airpura V600, V700, and V400 Series models are recommended for use in environments with elevated amounts of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as fumes released by new rugs and furniture or pesticides. It also contains a medical grade true HEPA filter to capture particles such as dust, dander, and pollen.

The Enhanced carbon (Superblend) is formulated to adsorb fumes from paints and lacquers, cleaning supplies, building materials and furnishings. These model will also address the kinds of vapors found in offices, including correction fluids and carbonless copy paper, graphics and craft materials, glues and adhesives, permanent markers, and photographic solutions and emissions from copiers and printers.

For higher levels of contamination, consider the C600-DLX or C700-DLX which have 26lbs of the Enhanced carbon.

The Airpura UV600’s and UV700’s 20-watt, 17-inch ultraviolet bulb are effective in destroying pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, and mold spores. According to the Environmental Protection Agency:

Mold, dust mites, pet dander, and pest droppings or body parts can trigger asthma. Biological contaminants, including molds and pollens can cause allergic reactions for a significant portion of the population. Tuberculosis, measles, staphylococcus infections, Legionella and influenza are known to be transmitted by air.

The UV600 and UV700 have a true medical grade HEPA filter to capture particles such as dust, dander, and pollen. Additionally, they have a large amount of high-quality activated carbon to remove household odors (including mildew) and some chemicals.

The UV600 can be user-upgraded to the P600 or P700 series.

The Airpura P600 is recommended for use in environments where higher concentrations of chemical, odor and VOC fumes exist. The P600 series includes the TitanClean^tm photocatalyic oxidizer that works in conjunction with the 20-watt UV bulb to dramatically increase the range of dangerous airborne chemicals that can be neutralized safely and effectively. The photochemical reaction that results breaks up vapors at the molecular level, reducing airborne chemicals to carbon dioxide and water vapor.

This unit is also highly effective in destroying microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, and mold spores. It has a medical grade true HEPA filter to capture particles such as dust, dander, pollen, and mold spores as well as a large amount of high-quality activated carbon to remove household odors and some chemicals. For even greater VOC abatement, the carbon in the P600 can be upgraded to the Enhanced impregnated carbon found in the V600.

Note: the Hi-C carbon weave filter is a good match for light odors or chemical fumes, but if you are concerned with heavier odors or smoke in your environment, consider the V600, V700, T600 or T700 models.
